读后续写作为记叙文,其核心是“人”。因此一切的笔墨,都是为了塑造人物形象,使人物更加饱满。想把我们的人物塑造得更饱满,就必须要有支撑他/她的各类描写,其中,动词是英语语言的主角,很多句子肯定都包含动作描写。但是我们在描写动作的时候往往会犯一个毛病,那就是太过于单薄。那么该如何将动作构建得饱满?

四.分解动作,形成动作链

把动作过程分解成一连串的动作,构造动作链,让你的动作描写既丰富又生动!

先看两个范例:

1.上车=拦车+上车+告诉目的地

He stopped the taxi, jumped in with the suitcase and told the driver, “Go to the police station, please.”

这句话只是描写了“上车”的动作,然而通过拆解,细致地展现了一个动作下的组成部分。其本质是避免简单粗暴的使用一个动词概括整个动作,而是用2-3个动词组合进行描述。

2.下车=下车+笑+跳

She would get off the car excitedly, laughing and dancing around.

这句讲的是一个比较粗线条的妈妈,动作描写完整地描述了这位妈妈下车时及下车后的表现.

●动作链结构1:动作三连结构(A, B and C结构)

范例:

1.孩子们跳入湖中嬉戏=冲向湖边+脱掉衣服+跳入水中

The boys rushed excitedly to the lake, took off their clothes and

Jumped into the water.

2.抱住儿子=冲向前 + 蹲下 + 一把抱住

She dashed forward, knelt down and gathered her son into her arms.

3.早上匆忙去上学=穿外套+抓起书包+冲去学校

I put on my coat hurriedly, grabbed my bag and rushed to school this morning.

4.妈妈给钱那个可怜人=打开钱包+取出钱+递给可怜人

五.构造动作面

动作链可以和情感,环境,心理,语言等结合,形成动作面。

范例:

1.Burning with anger(情感描写), he glared at me with his big frightening eyes,yelling(动作链),“You’re such an idiot.”(语言描写)

此处的burning with anger是情感描写,glare和yell是动作链,同时将动作和语言描写结合在了一起,形成了饱满的动作面,属于高分表达。

2.As night was beginning to fall (环境描写),Jane sat on the grass(动作描写), staring at the vast sky(动作描写), frightened and ravenous(情感描写).

此处将环境描写,动作描写以及情感描写结合在一起,形成了饱满的动作面。

▲句式1:Doing ...主句,doing ...

1.他们站在空旷的路边,仰望着天空,感受着这份珍贵的平静。

Standing beside the empty road(肢体动作), they looked up into the sky(面部表情), feeling the precious peace from within(心理活动).

2.围在营火旁,他们吃着烧烤,享受这一令人难忘的时光。

读后续写高分技巧:多管齐下提升动作描写

人物的每一个行动都受其思想、性格制约,因此,具体、细致地描写某一人物在某一情况下所作出的反应,主要是动作反应,就势必显示出了这一人物的内心活动、处世态度、思想品质。成功的动作描写可以交代人物的身份、地位,可以反映人物心理活动的进程,表现人物的性格特征,创造生动的画面和活跃的场景,有时候还能推动情节的发展。

下面以2017年6月浙江续写卷原文为例来看动作描写:

●情节:奋力逃生

动作描写:

▲Mac:连续动词+副词 身体部位:脚+手+嘴

Mac was pedalling hard now. He waved and yelled at passing cars but was careful not to slow down.

由上不难看出,通过一系列的动作描写,Mac 试图狼口逃生的情节被写得栩栩如生,尤其是对狼的动作的描写一气呵成:Mac对它的喷雾攻击似乎一点效果都没有.读者阅读时不免提着心,为Mac捏了一把冷汗。

那么,如何写出成功的动作描写呢?以下介绍四种技巧。

●技巧1:动词+副词/介词结构/doing/从句

在描写人物的动作的时候,首先要准确运用动词,然后在这个动词前或后加上适当的修饰语,就会使动作的幅度、速度、力度等比较细致地表达出来,人物形象就会更具活力。比如下列摘自续写原文的几个句子便是如此:

As Mac pedalled(骑行) along alone,he thought fondly of his wife and two young daughters at home.(动词+副词) (2017年6月浙江市考续写原文)

But when he looked to the side,he saw instantly that it wasn't a dog at all, but a wolf,quickly catching up with him.(动词+副词+that 从句) (2017年6月浙江高考续写原文)

Mac was pedalling hard now.(动词+副词) (2017年6月浙江高考续写原文)

Then it attacked the back of Mac's bike., tearing open his tent bag.(动词+doing )

●技巧3:使用具体词,避开“万能词”

“万能词”就是到处都能用的多用途词,如 walk , say , see 、 run 、 laugh 、cry

等。要把动作写得准确、鲜明,就要换掉这些“万能词”,而用其他更具体、更细化的动词。

2016年10月续写原文有几个句子都有walk的意思,但是不同的语境中,文章使用了不同的单词来代替walk,避免重复使用“万能词”walk ,从而使表达更准确、丰富。

例1:By the time they reached the lake, Jane was so angry that she said to Tom,"I'm going to find a better spot for us to camp" and walked away.

分析:这里Jane和 Tom 刚刚吵架,Jane走开,用了walked away 。

例2:After she had climbed to a high place, she turned around,hoping to see the lake.

分析:Jane朝高处走,需要爬,所以用climb。

例3Quickly she followed the sound to a stream.

分析: Jane这里是跟着溪流声走,所以用follow 。

例4:As she picked her way carefully along the stream, Jane heard a helicopter.

分析: Jane顺着溪边走时,因为溪边的路比较难走、所以换用pick her way.

在选用更具体、更细化的动词时,主要考虑以下两层意思:

其一,结合实际语境

人在不同的情景、环境中,行动的特点是不同的,比如饭后散步时的“走”与上学要迟到的“走”是不一样的。请看下面的例子。

基础版:For an hour and a half we walked around the old city, totally lost.

改进版:For an hour and a half we wandered around the old city, totally lost.

分析:这句话是讲逛古城游玩,走路速度肯定不快,也没有很强的目的性,虽然迷路了,心情依旧很轻松,所以可以换成wander,意思是“闲逛”,该词与动作发生的场景更相配。

其二,体现人物特征

不同人物由于性格、性别、年龄、身份不同,他们表现出来的行动特点也一定是不同的。红楼梦里林黛玉在大观园里面的“走”和王熙凤的“走”肯定是不同的。所以在动作描写时,要充分结合人物的具体情况,使用准确、具体化的动词来表现人物的特点。

基础版:“I'll never forgive you for this,”Marge said, and she walked out of the room without a backward glance.

改进版:“I'll never forgive you for this,”Marge said, and she stormed out of the room without a backward glance.

分析:这里Marge显然非常生气,才会说“这件事我永远不会原谅你”。而此处用walk完全体现不出她的生气,所以可以换成storm,表示 Marge头也不回地“冲”出房间,更能体现人物感情。

●技巧5:结合修辞手法

动作描写也通常和修辞手法结合运用,以增强续写作文的表现力、吸引力。

He was treading along with firm, confident steps.(动作描写+移就)

他迈着坚定、自信的步子走着。

I woke from my dream, rose and went outside in the peaceful darkness. (动作描写+秋就) 我从睡梦中醒来,起身走到外面宁静的黑夜里。

The boy was so frightened that he rushed down the stairs and ran home like lightning. (动作描写+比喻)

男孩在极度惊慌中冲下楼梯,闪电般地跑回家去。
